About Sh’Niqua
I have been a dedicated social worker since 2005, holding licensure at the bachelor’s, master’s, and clinical levels. My career spans a wide range of settings, including Child Protective Services, school social work with pregnant and parenting teens and foster youth, inpatient hospital and psychiatric units (serving children, adolescents, and adults), and academia—as a former adjunct social work professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and current full-time social work faculty at Texas Christian University. I have also served as a field instructor and currently operate my own private practice.
I am a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™, certified to provide evidence-based interventions for children through the lens of play therapy.
Choosing me as your LCSW Supervisor means gaining a mentor with over two decades of diverse experience and a deep commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and ethical practice. I am excited to support you on your journey toward licensure and help you grow into the confident, competent clinical social worker you aspire to be.
